Andy Miller

Andy Miller provides strategic, crisis and issues communication counsel and writing services to clients of Prism Public Affairs - from corporations and industry coalitions to trade groups and non-profit organizations.

Miller has provided communications counsel for numerous high-profile clients facing national and international media attention because of public policy controversies, mergers, litigation, congressional hearings, investigations, labor negotiations and trade disputes.

An accomplished advocacy writer, Miller specializes in developing speeches, op-eds, white papers, corporate annual reports, and brochures. Speeches he has drafted have been delivered by corporate CEOs and op-eds have appeared in major newspapers, including The Washington Post, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. He also has developed and written advertising for newspapers, television and radio.

Miller's recent work includes issues communications for a major financial institution undergoing a restatement of its financial results, a coalition of major airlines seeking legislation, an energy company caught in the wake of Enron, and a defense company making a major acquisition. He has worked for foreign countries, and for several confidential clients in the transportation, financial services and manufacturing industries.

Miller began his career as a reporter for The Kansas City Star, where he served for nearly two decades as the newspaper's Washington correspondent. He worked for Powell Tate, a Washington, D.C., public affairs firm, where he was senior vice president/management supervisor before joining Prism Public Affairs.
