Ashley Vanarsdall Burke
Ashley Burke has extensive experience providing communications assistance to corporations, non-profits, associations and coalitions subject to governmental scrutiny or involved in high-profile litigation, as well as those seeking general public relations and public affairs counsel.
At Prism Burke has worked with numerous government contractors that have been subject to intense Congressional, investigative and media scrutiny; coordinated litigation communications strategies for multiple cases that reached the U.S. Supreme Court; provided communications counsel to foreign governments; and developed communications programs for other clients.
Prior to joining Prism, Burke developed communications strategies and handled day-to-day media relations for an association that represents the nation's leading computer and video game publishers at a time when the association was involved in litigation with states and localities that were seeking to limit access to First Amendment-protected content.
Burke earlier was a media relations manager at Powell Tate, a Washington, D.C., public affairs firm, where she handled media relations and crisis communications for a number of local, national and international clients.
As media manager at Smith & Harroff in Alexandria, Va., Burke helped to develop media strategies for advocacy campaigns and Republican political campaigns.
