Kristin Brown

Kristin Brown has extensive experience managing media relations surrounding high-profile litigation. Brown, who has worked for a major law firm and a litigation communications agency, has devised and carried out communications campaigns that balance a client’s legal strategy with its priorities in the court of public opinion, where perception matters.

Brown has coordinated crisis and litigation communications campaigns, written advocacy materials, and handled media calls. Her background has enabled her to counsel clients and carry out plans amid the frequently competing priorities that accompany crisis and litigation communications campaigns.

Prior to joining Prism, Brown worked at WilmerHale, one of the largest and most preeminent law firms in the country, where she worked with the firm’s lawyers to manage media relations for some of their most important cases. Along with crisis work, she led efforts to generate positive media coverage of the firm, its lawyers and their successes.

Brown joined WilmerHale from Levick Strategic Communications, where she worked on a number of high-profile matters. She provided counsel to a law firm cleared of wrongdoing in the Adelphia and Rigas family scandal, and later worked to help the firm retain its reputation as one of the leading and most respected law firms in Pennsylvania. She also provided strategic communications support to Rosie O’Donnell and her lawyers in conjunction with O’Donnell’s legal claims surrounding her magazine.

Brown began her career in the Central Intelligence Agency’s Office of Public Affairs. She has a bachelor’s degree in public communications from the American University School of Communications.
