Patrick J. Cullen

Patrick Cullen has extensive experience providing successful high-profile media relations and media placement services to clients of Prism Public Affairs.

Cullen, a skilled strategist, communicator and crisis counsel, has devised and implemented a reputation enhancement campaign for a Fortune 40 CEO and corporation, led a trade-related media outreach program for a major think tank, headed up a media relations project for a major search firm, and designed and implemented a crisis communications and media relations plan for the family of an airline pilot who was a victim of the 9-11 attacks.

He is the founder and principal of Ariel Consulting, a career transition and communications firm, and his media-related work for Prism is informed by his successful career as a broadcast news journalist. Cullen is a former director of news coverage for the ABC News Washington Bureau. In more than 20 years with ABC News, he was also a news assignment manager, special events producer and assignment desk editor, and traveled widely on both national and international assignments.

A Washington, D.C. native, Cullen worked on Capitol Hill for 10 years prior to joining ABC News. He was a staff member working for a variety of House committees where, among other duties, he drafted numerous committee documents, opening statements and floor speeches. He also served in the U.S. House of Representatives Radio-TV Gallery where he was the liaison between House members and the media.
